A fun and engaging French experience with Lingotot Darlington.

As a preschool, we are always looking for ways to enrich our student's learning experiences and our French sessions with Lingotot Darlington have been nothing short of fantastic. The programme is well structured and perfectly tailored for young learners making it both educational and enjoyable.

From the very first session our children were captivated by the energetic and enthusiastic approach of Lucy, the Lingotot teacher. She uses a variety of interactive activities, songs and games that keep the children engaged and eager to participate.The sessions are designed to make learning French feel like a fun adventure and it is wonderful to see the children's excitement grow with each session.

The curriculum covers essential vocabulary and simple phrases in a way that is relatable and easy for preschool children to grasp. The creative use of storytelling and props helps to reinforce their learning and it is delightful to hear them using the new words in everyday conversations.

Additionally, Lucy is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and nuturing, ensuring that every child feels included and supported. She fosters a positive learning environment where children feel free to express themselves and make mistakes, which is so important at this age.

Overall, the French sessions with Lingotot Darlington have been a wonderful addition to our preschool curriculum. We highly recommend it to any other educators and parents looking to introduce their children to a new language in a fun and engaging way.

Lingotots has been a fabulous addition to the clubs we offer at school. Our youngest has been part of the community class for about a year now. She really looks forward to her Monday French classes. Our eldest was introduced to Lingotot Darlington and Lucy at her nursery setting and had continued to attend at an after school club, through her primary school - she loves singing the French songs!

It's great to meet the other parents and to have a nice group to go to each week.

Lucy' French community classes are fantastic. She is incredibly engaging and playful with all the children and it's so special when you hear them responding in French. My son loves the hour of singing, dancing and playing games and he has made some lovely little friends.

INCY WINCY'S NURSERY BEDALE

Tuesdays are full of fun and language at Incy Wincy's. It is 10 months since Lucy joined us building even more vocabulary into our pre-school day. The children rush to greet her with a jolly "bonjour", eager to get started. Our little linguists also love to sing along with Lucy knowing she will have some wonderful props to capture their attention. With both our French groups having almose completed the core vocabulary sessions we are very exccited to be moving on to Lingotot Forest School after Easter - we can not imagine life at Incy Wincy's without our weekly visit from Lucy!

My 6 and 8 year old really enjoy their online French lesons with Lucy from Lingotot. There are always songs and games making it fun and easier to remember. They are engrossed with the lesson from start to finish and love sharing what they've learnt with us.

Forest School sessions.

The children at Banana Moon, Catterick get very excited on a Wednesday morning, eagerly awaiting Lucy's arrival. In such a small space of time the children have learnt so much in our Forest School French classes. Lucy has always got some great activities planned for the children and learning outdoors is great. The children are always very proud of their achievements. Couldn't recommend Lucy enough.

2021 Zoom sessions

I has absolutely loved her French lessons on Zoom every Saturday morning. It has been so lovely for her to have something to look forward to each week during lock down. Little Acorns nursery 2021

My little one has attended for 1-1 and a half years. I only started her because her friend was going. A family member told me not to bother as French at age 3 was a waste of money. They couldn't have been more wrong! Bella loves this class. She talks about French with such affection and enthusiasm. It's increased her confidence. She actively talks about French and I know she's super engaged in all the activities. We bumped into Lucy in Matalan before Christmas and Lucy actively introduced herself. She seems super warm and actively interested in the students and Bella was genuinely pleased and warm towards her. There seems to be a lovely bond between students and teacher and the class is thoroughly enjoyed.

My daughter took part in Lingotot classes as an after school club and since the start of this latest lockdown she has taken part in Zoom lessons each week which she has LOVED! Where better to start your child's language learning?

We have been attending French lessons with Lucy for coming up to 5 years now. Both our girls 5 and 3 have loved learning French with Lucy. Lessons are always engaging with a huge variety of activities and interaction. If you want to introduce your child to a second language you couldn't find a better place to start.

When a group is good enough to remember and go back to after 3 years, you know it must be good. My little girl joined Lingotots as a 2 year old. We stopped when she started school but have joined again 3 years on, to continue her language development. A great teacher in person and Zoom.

I couldn't believe that for his first time, my 22 month old paid attention the entire lesson and even repeated some words. I love Lingotot classes because my daughters have been going since they were tiny. My eldest is now at school so can't go but my youngest has been going for 2 years now and I love how she's developing into a fabulous little linguist. We talk about Lingotot classes with everyone we meet and she has so much vocabulary and absolutely loves it! It's so important for children to have a second language these days and this is probably the best bit....it's reignited my love of languages :)

Why we love Lingotot Darlington?

I love Lingotots because my son loves Lingotots classes!! I've been taking Ethan to Lucy's class since he was 6 months old and he is nearly 4 now! Lucy is lovely with the children. There's always lots of signing, dancing, fun and laughter...She makes the lessons interactive and engaging so my son doesn't realise he's learning, he just thinks it's playtime. I also love how during the lock down she has gone above and beyond to help with home learning sending resources and making videos to assist with the different themes we have tried at home. Ethan has loved seeing Lucy and his friends in the Zoom classes too. They've been brilliant at giving some semblance of routine and normality. Thank you Lingotot Darlington.

Why I love Lingotot?

I love Lingotots classes because my daughter comes home from nursery so excited to tell me about it and what she has learned. She hasn't been able to attend any since lock down but she said Je m'appelle Lucy randomly yesterday!! My son used to have classes at the nursery too and mentioned words he remembered. He hasn't had lessons for 2 years! It's brilliant.

At first I was unsure about this activity as my son was only 5 moths when we started but that has now changed. Lucy is a great teacher making it fun and keeping it simple with bitesize bits of information in French which are repeated throughout the activity, with song and visual aids. Highly recommended.

KS2 provision - Accredited course

The children have thoroughly enjoyed a more practical, active approach to learning French. Parents have commented on how their children are coming home sharing and practising what they have learned in the lessons and that the children seem to really enjoy the speaking activities in particular. The activities are done in a fun and active way with focus on speaking the language and conversing to their peers. All in all, a good investment to get the children speaking a foreign language.

Lucy from Lingotots visits our nursery once a week to deliver a quality French session to a group of children. She is always friendly and professional, developing a good relationship with both staff and children alike. Her sessions are fun and include a good mix of activities to stimulate the children's interests and enthusiasm including singing, puppets and use of the parachute which the children love! We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to develop French (or another language) within their setting.

Pre-school provision

Lucy has been to the pre-school I work in for two terms and she is wonderful. My daughter was able to attend her sessions and a year on she still knows and sings the songs. Lucy has a great rapport with all the children and makes the sessions fun and enjoyable as well as educational. I myself have also learnt a lot from Lucy, so it's not just beneficial to the little ones and I am considering the classes for adults :)

We've been attending Lucy's French class for just over a year now. My 2 year old loves it. Although she's often quite shy and quiet in the lesson (although this is changing) it all goes in, and she comes out at home. My parents live in France and my daughter loves to FaceTime them and tell then what she's learned this week. She keeps me right and loves singing all the songs. She gets very cross if I get the words wrong! Lucy is so patient with them all and really promotes their learning through various games and songs and stories. It's a really lovely class.

We had a fantastic first experience of Lingotots. My 2 year old little boy was fully engaged all the way through the session - fascinated by the use of props and interactive play. By the end of the first session he showed thorough understanding for what he had been taught and I caught him counting to 5 in French!

Emily was two and a half when she first started Lingotot, she attended every Friday with her Grandma.

We found the class very fun and Lucy was great with the children, who all varied in age.

Emily's favourite part of the class was the parachute and singing the French version of the Hokey Cokey, which she can now sing herself very well!

Emily soon picked up "Hello" and "Good bye" in French, with Lucy greeting her every session.

Emily looked forward to the class every week, asking every day "When are we going to French?" She looked forward to every aspect of it, from the singing, stories, snacks and stickers!

Emily can now count to 13 in French, say "Hello" and "Good bye". She also knows a few animals such as dog, cat and rabbit. Lucy was absolutely great with the children. I'm so proud of how much Emily has learned for her age and I think it's a really good class for children of any age to attend.

We're continuing French this term and can't wait to see what else Lucy has to teach Emily.

Lucy visits weekly and is always punctual and professional. The children eagerly await her arrival. Lucy makes the French language sessions FUN, and they are age appropriate. Lucy captures the children's attention with quirky French songs, dances and stories, which all complement the area of learning. Lucy is highly professional, she links the children's learning to the EYFS curriculum and also tailored sessions to the children's level of learning. Half an hour sessions were just the right length for our 3-4 year olds. The children were engaged throughout and picked up so much French, even starting to use some of the language outside the sessions. The children looked forward to Lucy's visits and we will certainly be using Lingotot Darlington again.

L has progressively enjoyed more and more each session - in new situations he is quite shy, but Lucy's gentle, patient manner has been just the right approach. L loves to interact when confident and observes and listens well till confident - he has shown he understands lots of the actions to the French songs - use of French words will come later. Sessions have been just the right pace for L to enjoy and concentrate, he has loved to participate with other children and he has had the Lingotot book to practice at home in a fun way too.
